Electrical control design and machine commissioning for SMT reflow
Our client is a Japanese manufacturer specializing in SMT reflow systems and factory automation (FA) equipment for the electronics manufacturing
To strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in Singapore, the company is expanding its engineering team at its OEM production This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both the Singapore production team and the engineering team in Japan, supporting the development, commissioning, and continuous improvement of advanced automation
【Position Overview】
As a FA Engineer, you will be based at the company's OEM manufacturing site in Singapore, taking responsibility for the electrical design, control system development, machine commissioning, and technical support of SMT reflow systems and other factory automation
You will collaborate closely with the resident Japanese production management team, the engineering team in Japan, and local manufacturing staff to ensure smooth production and successful equipment deployment across the ASEAN
【Key Responsibilities】
- Design electrical control systems for SMT reflow equipment and other factory automation (FA)
- Develop and modify PLC control programs using industrial controllers and related automation
- Configure and troubleshoot HMIs (touch panels), servo systems, and inverter
- Perform machine commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging at the manufacturing
- Provide technical guidance and training to local production and engineering
- Coordinate technical specifications, design changes, and continuous improvement activities with the engineering team in
- Provide technical support for customers across the ASEAN region, including occasional overseas business travel when required (primarily India). Most troubleshooting can also be provided remotely via web
- Support production improvement and equipment optimization

シンガポールでの製造体制強化のためOEM生産拠点のエンジニアリングチームを拡大しています。
本ポジションでは、シンガポールの生産チームと日本のエンジニアリングチームの双方と緊密に連携し、先進的な自動化設備の開発、立ち上げ、継続的な改善携わっていただきます。
・産業用自動化設備の電気制御システムの設計
・PLCおよび各種産業用コントローラーを使用した制御プログラムの作成・修正
・HMI（タッチパネル）、サーボシステム、インバータの設定およびトラブルシューティング
・製造現場における装置の立ち上げ、試運転、デバッグ、不具合対応
・現地の製造スタッフおよびエンジニアへの技術指導・教育
・日本のエンジニアリングチームと連携し、技術仕様の調整、設計変更、継続的改善活動を推進
・ASEAN地域の顧客向け技術サポート（必要に応じて海外出張あり／主にインド）。
多くのトラブル対応はWebによるリモートサポートで実施
・生産性向上および設備改善活動への参画

【Requirements】
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical control design for industrial automation
- Experience with PLC programming or PLC-related commissioning work (experience with online monitoring, troubleshooting, and on-site adjustments is acceptable; full PLC software development is not mandatory).
- Good communication skills in
- Proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese speaking related division in Japan HQ
- Experience with any PLC platform is acceptable (manufacturer is not restricted).
【Preferred Qualifications】
- Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin speaking relevant stakeholders
- Experience in machine commissioning, start-up, and
- Experience with production equipment, factory automation systems, semiconductor equipment, or electronics manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and network file sharing, including shared folder creation, permission settings, and network
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations in an OEM

【応募要件】
・電気工学、オートメーション工学、メカトロニクス、または関連分野の専門学校卒以上または学士号取得者
・産業用自動化設備における電気制御設計の実務経験5年以上
・PLCプログラミング、またはPLCを用いた装置立ち上げ・調整経験
・英語で円滑にコミュニケーションが取れる方
・日本語話者または中国語話者の関係者とコミュニケーションをとるため、日本語または中国語スキル
